Born in North York, Ontario, Joe Osei Bonsu has always had a fascination for the visual arts. His inspiration originates from all the comic books and animated shows that were exposed to him, during his adolescence. This fascination for the visual arts, encouraged Joe to enrol in schools such as Sheridan College (Art Fundamentals), and Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology (Digital Media Arts and 3D Animation). During his college days, he would constantly take part-time art classes such as Life Drawing, and Perspective for Animators, to improve his drawings skills. After finishing school, Joe started working on design (web/graphic) and illustration projects for individuals such as make-up artist, Lisette Reeves, photographer Melissa Moffat, CEO/Founder of DLM Dance Shawn Cuffie. Entertainment, fashion designer, Bruno Ierullo, and rapper/producer/songwriter, Jhevon Paris to name a few.
In 2005, Joe co-founded Heroes of the World (formerly Heroes of the Caribbean) with his good friend, Mark Williams. The comic-inspired brand, features heroes and villains that represent different countries around the world.
Joe currently works as a freelance artist in the Greater Toronto Area (Toronto/Mississauga).
